Alaska is home to more than 15,000 federal employees, not counting the military and contractors who also play a vital role in our communities. Some will be asked to keep working without pay, while others face the terrible uncertainty of furloughs and the threat of permanent job loss. On this page, I’ll be tracking the impacts of the federal shutdown and collecting resources to support affected Alaskans.
Please reach out to me directly to let me know how you or your family are being affected and how I can help. I am available any time at 907-727-2735 or rep.ky.holland@akleg.gov.
